ABOUT ME

When we have experienced trauma in childhood, as teens or young adults, it often gets reinforced in adulthood, the dysfunctional patterns there are developed is learned behaviour founded on trauma-based believes wired in, often from an early age, as a survival mechanism.

It can affect our ability to connect to our body, emotions and self, and co-dependency + people-pleasing can play a significant role in our relationships. Despite that, the relationships are being dysfunctional, engaging in unavailable relationships can nurture patterns within you and make you feel comfortable in their familiarity. When we are engaging in an unavailable relationship it’s often because on some level their behaviour work for us, unconsciously it is a strong draw to the familiar.

Likewise, lack of self-esteem is pure fuel for any lopping thought there is not serving us. When a child believes; my needs aren’t being met and I can’t meet my own needs - The child often forms further trauma-based beliefs such as; That means my needs will never be met. Which is the recipe for learned helplessness and affects our ability to express thoughts and feelings easily and clearly. Learned helplessness often feeds to trauma looping affecting our self-esteem, boundaries, relationships and contact with self.

Maybe some of this resonates with you? If so, you are not alone, I have been there myself.

I took a 180-degree turn and changed when I used hypnotherapy as a way of directly accessing the subconscious mind and safely reconnecting mind and body. It gave me an understanding of what was running my unwanted behaviours and then become free of them. Working therapeutically with the subconscious mind and the body is a powerful combination, there supports our nervous system to process and release underlying issues.

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to knowledge about the body and psychology and how to support physical, social and psychological well-being.

Besides Hypnotherapy (RTT) I have a degree in Psychomotor Therapy and continuing education in Neuropsychology. In the public as well as in the private sector I have worked trauma-informed with adults, teens and been in one-man projects helping kids suffering from severe trauma.

I’m dedicated to help people on their road of transformation, by removing trauma-based beliefs there is holding them back from living a life with personal freedom.
